Chain Reactions

1 minute read time.

Something strange happened yesterday so thought I'd share...

Work told me to get a Drs note so I can have time off work to spend with me Dad so I booked an appointment. Theres about 5 different Drs in the surgery I go to and I have seen most but one.

My name showed on the screen so off I went into the office and there he was sat, Dr X all cherppy and asking how he can help. As soon as I started speaking I saw the penny drop as my surname is unsual and we're the only family in the area with it. He starting typing and looking away, as he wrote the note he was shaking and finding it very hard to speak to me.

Turns out he's the GP who missed Dads cancer nurmorous times and on a scan. I know he also got a HUGE telling off when this all happened.

I don't blame him, Dad didn't show any signs and Dr X thought it was  back problem. He looked awful as I left the office but maybe a shot of shock and guilt might make he think outside the box next time and possibly save some else.

It's really hard not to blame him but I don't... not after his reaction to the news.
