Where do you find support online?

Less than one minute read time.

Hi everyone,

It's Eliza from the Community team. Finding the right support for you when you're going through an experience with cancer is really important. We're interested to know whether you use other support groups outside the Online Community.

You'll see the poll below this post, where you can vote to let us know.

Making the Online Community better for you is at the heart of everything we do. If you'd like to talk to us to offer feedback about the Online Community, please remember you can email the Community team at any time at community@macmillan.org.uk

  • My family have a family group chat on messenger and I also talk to my sister's and our brother on their own. I would like to volunteer with Macmillan, but I have been no volunteer opportunities in my area.

I was finding this support helpful. When my husband had his operation last year I felt well supported from a small group of people. Unfortunately when the upgrades happened I was unable to maintain contact as I could not navigate the site or access the tech help I needed. Got back here this week but there is so much to catch on about that I am very anxious of making a comment that does not take in what I might have missed.

As someone who has been with Melanoma support for twenty years, I find the patient group on Facebook invaluable.

I have a rare cancer so my facebook group for my specific cancer is my main source of support.
