Gone but never ever forgotten!

1 minute read time.
Hi Everyone

Sadly Peter, passed away this morning at 10.00.  It has been a very long weekend, Sam, Tim, Nic and Russ have been staying here with us since Friday which has been very nice as I could concentrate on him totally!  It has not been an experience I would wish on my worst enemy, he was not ready to leave us quite now so when he went it was a huge relief.  We have had such brilliant support from the District Nurses, there is not enough money in the world to pay for what they have done for us, especially this weekend.  We were having to call them every two hours to give him more pain relief but it was never too much trouble, even during the long nights.  This morning was nice because his favourite nurse helped him through his last part of the journey, he always had a smile for Sarah.

Peter was a trouper, he fought a long hard battle over the last 17 months.  This is such a sad loss to our family and he can never be replaced.  Today I feel relief, tomorrow is going to be another story, he is finally at peace though and that to us all is the main thing.

Once again, thanks for all your support.  Will be back in touch in the near future.

    Dearest Cherryl

We are so sorry to hear that Peter has died, but understand your relief. He was one tough cookie, and goodness only know what he survived on since Christmas, although Yes I do know... he survived on your's and your daughters'love.

Just do what you feel like, and if that's nothing, then that's OK too.

Your words about the anklebiters brought misty eyes and a lump to the throat, the honesty of children is amazing. They will be very protective of you now, as will the rest of the family.

Your words over the months have touched so many people here on this site, and I hope their responses, kind words and sincere support at this time will give you some much needed

    comfort.

Take things at your own pace my darling, we have thought of you so much this last 24 hours.

    Please accept our condolances

and send you big e Hugs

    love Jane & Mike
