2nd Chemo

Less than one minute read time.

I was not able to take my 2nd chemo on the 28th May because my white blood cell count was really low - 0.6 and it has been postponed till 4th June.

I am sad but what can I do??? I hope my wbc would have increased by then. Oncologist said I will be taking injections to help my wbc.

Meanwhile, my lumps has reduced but it keeps itching me from inside. My hair has gone and my scalp aches me. Is that normal?

    Hi deb,

thats good that your lump has already shrunk, Ask the breast care nurse ANYTHING you feel un sure or curious about.  My scalp did feel tender too.

My Wbc cells were down from 2nd chemo too. it was a hard slog, but I got through it. there are things that can be done for this if it continues.I had injections , which helped rais the count. Sometimes you just have to wait for a bit for them to come back up. I know how upsetting this is. You will get trhough it. Take care.

    Hi

Until 4th June is plently of time for your white blood cells to recover.

If not, low white blood cell count is easily addressed with granocyte injections.

I've had the injections for several months now and no problems so don't worry about it.

    Hang in there !!
