I was diagnosed yesterday with invasive lobular carcinoma thats spread to my lymph nodes.. double mastectomy in the next few days follwed by god knows what!!! Feeling very alone....

Sorry that you find yourself here but believe me with is the place to be. I was dx with ILC with lymph node involvement in Oct 09. Had lumpectomy two days later followed by a mastectomy in Nov and I am due to start my first round of chemo on 4th Jan. If there is anything that I can do please pm me, I have snt you a friend request and please dont be too scared, once the shock has passed you will see this as the beginning of a new journey.
So sorry to hear your news madkat. I don't have the same diagnosis as you but did have breast cancer which has now been removed and I'm now about to start radiotherapy.
You will get a lot of support here as we all have some idea of how you're feeling so do come back often.
I to have ILC, but only in the one breast, like you it was a massive shock, had all the tests like you. It takes awhile to get head around it all. I was diagnosed on24th Nov. The waiting is the worst. Each test result has been a week to13 days this added time on. Lucky my scentinode was clear.
Hence reconstrution will be done same time as masectomy. to ops 6th Jan and 20th. I have had a little time to get my head around it all, though I wish my op was sooner, as far as I am concerned the sooner it is gone the better.
