Julia (Jools) Irving

Less than one minute read time.

It's a long while since I have been online, so apologies if I have posted this in the wrong arena.  This is something I need to make everyone aware of.

Julia (Jools) Irving passed away peacefully earlier today with her daughters, Jenny and Jade and close family around her.

Many of you whose lives have been touched by Jools, as indeed mine has, will share a great sadness from this news, but also thankfullness that her pain has gone, she was dignified to the end.

It is difficult for me at this time to share much more as I am deeply sorrowed by my great friend's passing.  More information regarding her funeral will follow early next week.

I hope you will join with me in wishing her family and close friends much love and support during what is an extremely difficult time for them.

Kind regards

Carole Dixon

A sad day indeed. Jools was such a figurehead and showed many people how to deal with the terrible knowledge that life is so short. A wonderful woman.

I did not know jools, but would just like to say that she seems to of been a lovely person by all that is written about her. May she be at peace.  Love Jan xx

  • thanks for sharing this, I had posted on her page recently asking how she was doing as it was strange she had not been around, so 2 +2 was right, she was not well.

Julies was a lovely person who lived not far from me but we never met though we did message now and again.

Her blog about the trip to Bamburgh and the cottage was the first I read on the old what now site, I know she will be missed by many as she gave and supported all who needed it.

rest in peace and strength to her family.
