Why attack those who can't always fight back?

It's not the current government that are making these proposals, it is the Conservatives. I wouldn't think it that you would be affected in any way but there are people on Incapacity Benefit who really are capable of doing at least some work.  What was not mentioned, this morning was that each time that Incapacity Benefit is refused or that a person is taken off of it, an appeal process can start which leads to a file of papers about 2" thick and costs thousands of pounds.    

I don't think that it is the current government that is suggesting this but the Conservatives are ceretainly looking at trying to cut people on incapacity. OK there are some shysters but anyone with a cancer diagnosis at whatever stage is not one of them. Just becasue you can get up and go through the day without feeling absolutely hite does not mean that you are ready to go to work. Some of them proposing these ideas should ahve to go through a cancer diagnosis although i wouldn't actually wish it on anyone. People can make the right noises but until you hear the words "you have cancer" you cannot comprehend what is happening and more sisnister - what is going to happen.

Don't worry - I don't think that we are in that position yet but it certainly needs flagging up.

Thanks guys I was so infuriated when I caught the end of the news, it is the conservatories who want to make these changes to ' make peoples lives better' as you say they don't have a clue what we go through unless they have cancer or a life threatening illness! I've calmed down a bit now! so I'm smiling again!
