    With some trepidation, I am putting back my blogs.  This is the one that caused the little storm.  I have changed six words.  Here goes - I will hit the 'paste' button ... The others are coming back, slowly ...

     

     

    I used to be be very cynical about blogs.  I used to wonder, who are these people who so badly need to find an audience that they start 'publishing' their random jottings on the Internet for strangers…

    PDT - Not a silver bullet ...

    Just in case my many readers (ha, ha) think I am under the illusion that PDT is a 'cure' for inoperable oesophageal cancer - I do not.  The research suggests that it is a useful palliative treatment and it seems to me to be preferable to the alternatives which are very, very few hence my probably unreasonable delight that I have found someone in this country who offers this treatment…

    Oesophageal Cancer Stage IV - A Good Day!

    Off with my list (and my husband) to the (new) GP yesterday morning.  I run through what, to me, seems the particularly terrible sequence of events.   The list is something like the following, with a few addiions on the way as the blood pressure was rising:

     

    • My husband first understands what is going on when he reads the charts which are bouncing on his chest as he is wheeled…

    I have been spending some time roaming this site - a return visit after some failures earlier in the year.  I know people are communicating with each other out there and I think I have managed to communicate with them ...but I am not sure!

    And I don't think I really meant to start a blog but now I have started, I will continue and record…

    It was helping - this writing a blog business.  But it is slightly creepy, this idea that you have, foolishly, trusted people on a site like this, with things you would not have said to anyone you felt did not understand and to ....well, blah, to all that.
