Mum was diagnosed with lung cancer just last week and we are stumbling around in the dark. She had a bronchoscopy last week and we see a specialist tomorrow. I am sure the hospital she is going to is good but wanted some independent information about it. Does anyone know where I might find this? I was recommended the Drfosterhealth.co.uk website but not much joy there.

Great to hear about your Mum Kaylee, I really hope things are still going well for her and for you. My Mum is on Gemcitabine and Carboplatin, three week cycle, she's just completing the second week of her first cycle. We were told it would be fairly mild, and that many take it in their stride. Mum's been ill for so many years with a degenerative condition that she's pretty delicate and the treatment is proving to be rougher than we hoped it would be. She's in hospital at the moment as her temperature soared on Friday night and is still high now. Hard to think how it's going to be as the treatment goes forward - trying not to think too far into the future. Take care all of you, thinking of you, A xx
