Sometimes the unexpected is a great relief and what the consultant told us yesterday brought great relief to myself and my family, seems like they got it all out with the first lot of surgery, my best friend who i have known since we were kids actually cried when i told him the news, his wife told me he was overjoyed that you are ok, his father died from this vile disease 30 years ago, he's coming over to see me on Sunday, we'll break a bottle of single malt and hopeful;ly drink to the news.
We (gf&me) are really really pleased i know i have some radio therapy to undergo but the oncologist says its a precautionary measure and i will be having it after xmas, around 2nd week in Jan when the first of 30 sessions start, my gf wants to know why i need a mask, she told the consultant, he laughed she knows why but giggled all the same.
Just hope they are right and after the RT i will be back to normal and fighting fit, well as fit as can be expected lol. Don't think it has quite sunk in with me yet as to what they said but as the day goes on and the more people i talk to the more i will believe it, my work mates are pleased and so is my family caught my gf with a tear ot two, but she said she had sumat in her eye, yeah lol
anyway work calls and i can step out today with a bit more of a spring in my step than normal, am working over xmas but that wont bother me now
