Well my fellow Macmillan people. Today is a special day for me. 7 months to the day I was fast asleep at this time as my consultant surgeon was cutting bits out of me during my 6 hour operation. An operation that has allowed me to be here today. Thank you Mr Haldar and your team at Wycombe.
Thank you to all the staff in the theatre and the recovery room. Thank you to all the staff on the urology ward who have made me feel important and were always there for all of my needs both simple and taxing.
Thank you to my friends and relatives who have made this journey with cancer one that has included many smiles and laughs and for giving me hugs when I needed them.
Thank you all you out there who have supported me on this wonderful site. Thanks for all your love and hugs. Thank you the Macmillan team behind in the background.
Now that I have been seven months post op without it coming back I keep my fingers crossed that it stays away. I will be mighty p***ed off if it does return. I know it is likely but until then I intend to enjoy myself in life.
My heart goes out to my friends on here who have lost their battles or their loved ones have lost their battles over these seven months. My thoughts love and hugs are with you all. Big love.
And now today is special again for tonight I am off out with "the lads" for my stag do!
Yep the time is getting closer and T and I will soon be married - can't wait as it will be a day of fun and celebration. And as my next ct scan is not until may I can spend the next few weeks just living this wonderful life. Every day is an extra treat. A day to fill with good things. A day to smile and rejoice that I have been given this extra time to enjoy life.
But this afternoon and this evening will be filled with the added fun of the rugby much beer and food and jazz music later. Me thinks it's a good way to celebrate life.
Due to alcohol intake I will not be blogging tomorrow! :-)
Hug and love to you all
