Hi Alan I had a similar problem with one of my bosses I took advice from my union who imediatley took him to grievence committe he CAN NOT sack you take advice from all of those on here do not sign anything.

Cancer is covered under the dissability discrimination act and you have lots of rights including the right to ask for part time working or job share.

He is a total idiot if he thinks he can get away with this you have rights including reasonable time off for medical appointments and this is covered by DDA, take advice and dont give in to him if he sacks you tak him to courst for unfair dismissal i would gladley help you if you need it my union is very strong as i am in the fire service FBU has lots of help available to me and i would gladley pass on anything i can.

    All the best

    Dave

I couldn't believe what I was reading. I'm so sorry you have been treated this way Alan. Thank God my employer was extremely sympathetic and very accomodating. I understand that you don't feel up to working full time, neither do I, and after my phased return I will be reducing my hours so I only work 3 days a week.  Everyone has given such good advice, so I hope it all comes to a satisfactory conclusion for you. I don't think your boss has a leg to stand on. Good luck Alan.

The Gartner survey showed that the number of victims of Identity Theft actually rose from 10 million to 15 million people in 2006.

Furthermore the people most likely to be contacted first, Banks, and Mortgage companies are not required to report these losses nor are they likely to call attention to their own fraud problems, and most victims won’t bother contacting the Government because they won’t get the victims money back or correct credit problems.
