Cheering Up Music

Less than one minute read time.

I was going to give the music blog a rest until the New Year but I received an email saying it was being missed and a post would be really nice.  The message even had the subject ready for me – music to cheer you up when you’re having a bad day.   So I’ve had a rummage through my collection this morning and I think this track selection might help.  Hopefully my loyal readers will think of a few more suggestions and let me know.

“Oh Lori” by The Alessi Brothers

“A Showdown” by Archie Bell and The Drells

“Gimme Little Sign” by Brenton Wood

“Everything’s Tuesday” by Chairman Of The Board

“Because Of You” by Jackie Wilson

“Sweet Inspiration” by Johnny Johnson

“You’re My Everything” by Lee Garrett

“Highwire” by Linda Carr

“Weekend” by Mick Jackson

“When We Get There” by Paul Anka

“What More Could A Boy Ask For” by The Spinners

“Bobby’s Girl” By Susan Maughan

Hi Margaret, yes music blog was missed. Good suggestions, going to listen to the Brenton Wood track, haven't heard it for ages. Sweet Caroline, Neil Diamond works for me. Have had a tendency to listen to reflective/sad stuff recently you have given me a nudge to change that. Clare

Hi Clare, Thanks for your kind words.  I agree with you completely about Neil Diamond.  "Cracklin Rosie" and "Forever in Blue Jeans" work for me.  I've also had messages saying don't forget Bruce Springsteen, Frankie Valli and The Beach Boys.  Perhaps I'll have to come back in a few days with Part 2!

Could I suggest looking for "New World Music"? There are CD's that cover pretty well any kind of mood music. I have all sorts of CD's from them from Easy listening to Oriental, Healing to Tai Chi. The list is too long to place here.

  • I like a lot of different music and I often listen to new music. When we had an event dedicated to just that kind of music we decided to Hire ceilidh band in Glasgow and I'm very glad we did it here, because everything went great and there were no problems with it, which was very nice indeed. I hope that you will come in handy too if you want to hire a cool band for your party then the best decision is to do it here. Good luck.
