line flush

Less than one minute read time.

trying to decide whether I should ring to see if it matters that there is about 2 inches of my PICC line with blood in it after flush yesterday! But apart from that yesterday had a fantastic lunch with other retired staff from school.

    Hi Mike,

If your not sure ask the medical team. It used to happen to me but was  problem, but that was me.

Just make sure and put your mind at rest.

Take care and be safe Sarsfield.

I had a picc line in, and it's ok to have a bit of blood in it, but a quick phone call to your chemo unit or district nurse will give you some proper advice, the say no matter what, we would rather u ring about nothing than miss something important .....

    Good luck

Dear Mike, the only one to assure you all is well is your onco. nurse.  Don't be afraid to ring and ask but make sure its someone who actually knows you.  I hope you don't mind but your name seems faimiliar, especially as you mention old school reunion.  I wonder whether I actually know who you are as I too used to work in a college.  In any event, take care of yourself and your line will probably be okay.  Ann x
