New Years Day Bertiebassett

Less than one minute read time.

New years day was the same as any other day for us Bert fell asleep on New Years eve  at teatime and slept until 11 am he did wake twice for tea but never drank it as he was asleep before I got it upstairs. y his friend came round but he would not wake up until much later so he got to see his friend for 5 mins and fess asleep again while talking to him.

It was a long day for me but a lazy day not that I have any different days at the moment.

Today looks as though it will be much the same. His ingrown toenails are giving him quite a bit of bother again and all he wants is for them to be removed he just cannot understand that because his platelets are so low it will not be happening. His white cells and neutrophils are almost non existant now at 0.4 and 0.1 so there is no chance of him having his nails removed.

Nothing much else to tell as we are just plodding along.

Take care and love to all

Hi Teri,  just want to say I'm following your blogs - so I know what's happening with you and Bert.

New Year's Day?  Ha! Best to think of it as just another day really. I think that's why people (like me) get depressed at New Year - we're all made to think it's a new start, fresh promise, etc etc.

And so often, it's not. It's same old c**p, different year!

For me, it was a spring clean day - get all decorations down, house back to normal, then have a curry and sit down to watch a film.

    Hello Teri,

Just to say, i'm thinking of you, popping in to see how you all are? Are you home now? I'm only asking as i am going to the beatson today and was going to pop in to see you, if it was ok? If your home though, just know you all have my love and prayers.

    Much love
