update

Less than one minute read time.

hi to all that know me- and those that dont- dont lose heart!

If anyone has got a copy of januarys ed of prima magazine, thats me in the rubbishly titled 'my best friend saved my life'! The essence is true, but I feel a bit cheated as I specifically wanted it to focus on the symptoms of ovarian cancer.

I cant complain, I am nearly (1 month away) in 'remmision' or whatever that means, after being told I have advanced cancer. isnt it funny, you nearly reach one target then they give you another- my prof said if you get to 5 years tumour free then you can be classed as cured. man. cured. thats something she has never even mentioned before. I will never ever forget the support I have recieved here or from my friends- thank you jackie, sarsfield, and all the others who have helped me along my way.

MERRY XMAS!

  • Yes, magazines often 'twist' a story to make it as sensational as they can with little regard to the absolute truth. Your true friends will know the real story.

I will look out for prima.Well done for getting some publicity, even if they didn't do it the way you wanted it will still mean that more people will know about ovarian cancer.Glad to hear you are doing so well!

    Merry christmas ,

    Love,

    Julie.
