So, having dreaded being laid up in bed over Christmas, I am so glad to report that I had a great one and ate all my christmas dinner and even managed some Buck's Fizz and mojitos! Despite the disruption of flooding and bugs, all my children managed to travel to me and they wouldn't let me lift a finger. Having them all here with their other halves and my 15 month year old granddaughter made my Christmas perfect. Day…

I have rested completely over the last couple of days and thankfully my blood count had gone up this morning when I had a blood test. Well so far day 4 and 5 have been my worse days on FEC! I don't have much energy or appetite still and the ongoing insomnia leaves me very tired, but its all manageable and I do what I can each day to keep some kind of normality in my life! I had a little road trip out to Sainsbury's on Sunday to pick up some milk and bread. I was only out for an hour, but it was great to be amongst humans and enjoy the festive feeling…

Woah, what a week this has been! Its now day 7 of FEC chemo!! Day 4 (Tuesday) of chemo was rough and day 5 (Wednesday) the worse so far! I cried and felt so angry and sorry for myself!! My appetite is zero and my mouth feels like I've drank a shed load of alcohol! Im brushing my teeth gently and regularly and using Oraldene mouthwash to try and help keep the ulcers at bay. The steroids for the sickness drove me bonkers…
