Kezzerbird......getting back on track

1 minute read time.

Well today Mike my Mac nurse turned up and we had a long conversation on my future. I haven't picked up very well this time from chemo which finished about two months ago and if I have treatment it will make me very ill again taking away even more quality of life and for the bird, that will never do. I have decided that what I need to do is to get stronger and get my arse back to work and do what I do best and enjoy every minute of it. I actually feel alot happier in myself, I still will be kicking cancers arse, that will never stop. I see my consultant in 10 days and take it from there, he will work with me and keep an eye on my bloods and how I feel. I am seeing a physio this week to try and overcome this tiredness which is stopping me doing the things I want to do, I am not quite sure how that is going to work but I will give it a try!!!!!! Love and hugs to those who want them....Carol xx

I am not dying of cancer, I am living with it

Best wishes Carol. You will find an even keel that will allow you to do whatever you decide! Of that,I have no doubt as nobody, not even cancer, will put The Kezzer in a corner,eh?

In the meantime, rest up and look after yourself!

    Big hugs, Alison.x

Sorry you are not having a good time at the moment. One thing I am sure of, you will keep kicking ass all the way and the rest of us will all be there as back up to give a stronger kick if we can.

Hope you have as supportive staff as I do. Have a district nurse, a Marie Curie nurse and, of course, the great staff at Wrd 19 day unit. Got a CT sacn on Friday so fingers, toes and everythin that will cross is crosssed!

    Luv and hughs

    Mike

Hello Carol, nice to read about you but not so nice you haven't bounced back as much as before.  I agree with you, get yourself strong again and do what makes you happy.  Hope you've managed with all the animals you have, especially your dog as he must still be a bit of a pup - collies have never ending energy.  Go Girl!! Love Ann x
