    Hi Poppy,

I feel so sorry for you,if the medical team dont know how do they expect you to cope. I would grab hold of one of your Mums Medical team, and demand that they tell you what is going on with your Mum,and I wouldnt leave until I get a satisfactory answer. Sorry Poppy I cant be of more help.

You take care Big Hugs Love Sarsfield.xxx

Poppy the same thing happened to my Dad in the same hospital as your Mum is in. I think some of the reason they seem to give up is because no one ever takes the time to explain anything properly to them, its like getting blood from a stone when we try to find anything out never mind our poor relatives. If I was in your postion again Poppy I would demand  (like Sarsfield says) a senior Dr speaks to you.. Then hopefully you or the Drs can give Mum some hope and a reason to carry on..She must feel dreadful and so frightened ((hugs)) I know you do too.

Once things were explained properly to my Dad by a Dr and by me he was happier. Also your Mum could be suffering from depression which is understandable and I would ask the Dr if he could prescribe something to help (they did this for Dad) and you should see some improvement although it can take a while.

Those Drs should also be able to find out the reason why your poor Mum is suffering from all this swelling ..dont give up Poppy until you get someone to listen. Stick to your guns and demand some answers in a quiet sideward too! I know what they are like there for discussing everyones illness in the corridors!! makes me mad.

Take care Poppy and lots of love to you and your dear Mum

And I meant to say Poppy, not that im any expert in medicine but it sounds as though your Mum has alot of fluid build up especially if its affecting her breathing. I would mention it to those Drs and maybe they would consider draining it away so Mum can breathe properly again..Just my thoughts Poppy,  i have heard of this before ((hugs))
