Thanks are due today to a quote from our Oxford based warriors that is in their blog,
“To get through the hardest journey, we need to take only one step at a time, but we must keep stepping”
Chinese Proverb
This seems so apt at the moment, Ray is stronger today although has had to take a couple of extra painkillers. I have just made him a big lunch after him not eating much yesterday and he seems stronger in himself but I know he is worried about this lack of energy and just what the next scan will show.
The nights sweats have reduced which is good, but he is more sore and achy than usual. We are currently debating the nature of the next scan. Ideally he wasn’t due the next PET until July, with a CT scan due this time, which is far less stressful. However, because of the sweats they have suggested this one is also a PET. Ray has asked me to get in touch and ask if we could stick with the CT option as it is far less stressful- so we’ll see what they say. The PET does pick up activity at a cellular level so I’m worried a CT would miss any development at an early stage.
No doubt we will hear back from the doctor with an opinion shortly as will need to be booked in soon so we can get the results before the 4th May and our next appointment.
