update-son,lifesupport, stemcells fighting back?

1 minute read time.

Thankyou everyone-all your positive thoughts must've worked, I was with son today, as they reduced the amount of paralizing drugs, & see if he'd come round. He started taking the odd breath for himself....they took him off the machine, & he is now breathing unaided-(except he has oxygen still). The tube's out of his throat, & 'venflon' in wrist with about Six attachments is gone-he's attached to so much less now-& tube's out of his tummy, nose, throat....

The one is still in his neck though.....

Specialists are amazed at how well son's responded-(again!!)

I Was told today he has pnuemonia, aswell as neutropenic/septisemia, (& 'something else, which I can't recall'!)  *Shakes frazzled head* lol

However, now that he's now off life support, is breathing, (albeit shllow, hence the need for the oxygen), he's looking so much better.

Todays visit lasted about 5-10mins though...

He just wants to sleep, & is too tired to talk....poor kid, I know what he means though, he feels he has to talk, & that wears him out. I told him to just sleep-I'd hold his hand....(.I'm taking alot of 'opportunities' to be able to hold his hand, stroke his (newly grown again) hair)....All the things I did when he was a baby, & haven't done for years now, because he's a man!.....

It's so pitiful to watch him gasping-it's like he can't breathe deeply, he just takes quick, shallow breaths, unless he has more oxygen.

He is just so tired at he moment......but let him sleep!- Sleep's the best healer!!

Thankyou all for reading this. I hope you're the best you can be!....

Bless you all for the positivity, you're diamonds, & it's all so appreciated!!

(((((HUGS))))) to you too. Your words make me cry every time i read them. Your son is such a fighter isn`t he..and he KNOWS you are there fighting right there with him.

Its just so wonderful that he is breathing on his own :)  it will take him time to regain some strength to breathe properly im sure...and he must have such a strong energy!!

My Dad always said sleep is the best thing :) and im sure it is and while your dear son sleeps he is healing.

You are amazing too and you are doing what you do best in this world which is being his mum ..it doesn`t matter whether our sons are babies or men they are still our children and we fight for them.

    Keep strong and stay well

    Lots of love

    Hi SSM

I'm overjoyed to that your little man (after all that's they will always be to us) is improving.

I have been willing him on so hard to fight this latest challenge.  Neither of you have left my thoughts.

I also want to thank you publicly so much for the support you give me as well.  I was so grateful to receive you PM sending your positive thoughts to me.

You are a wonderful person and I am incredibly touched that with everything that you are having to deal with, you still think of others.

    Thank you so much.

Please keep us up to date with your young man's progress.

    And don't forget to eat.

    Take care

    Jo
