What is my.Macmillan?
Primary anal cancer, secondary para aortic lymph nodes, secondary lung. My journey. Some of the comments may not mean anything to you (the Macmillan reader), as the notes were aimed at my friends on Facebook.
Quick note - Tuesday 30th June met with Dr Soe who was lovely. He explained my treatment to me, 5 and a half weeks worth. Timescale - 1 - 2 weeks I will have another CT scan (ohoh Gastrograffin not agreeable at all!) At this scan they will tattoo me, (unfortunately I don't get to pick a design, just some dots, lol). The tattoo is so that when I go for my radiotherapy they know which bits to zap (ouch :( ) I will be admitted 7 - 10 days after the scan. Week 1 I will stay at The Christie and have chemotherapy and radiotherapy. For 3 weeks I will travel from home Mon - Fri for radiotherapy. Week 5 I will go back into hospital for the same as week 1. Then 3 more days of radio. Chemo - Mitomycin C by injection and Fluorouracil via drip. P.S. Tramadol (painkiller) sends me loopy!!! and the sleeping tablet that worked in hospital after my op sent me daft last night and kept me awake! I'm going to try 2 tonight. I think that covers everything?
