It begins...

Less than one minute read time.

Thank you to everyone who gave their feedback in my previous blog post. We have decided to join the Cheshire Walk on 5th August as our first challenge.

A month before the walk I will be changing my diabetes medication to a pump which is rather exciting, however to get use to it in time I need to do some training. There aren’t too many places for me to train and build up stamina in preparation for the walk. In light of this, me and Jonah are thinking of some ingenious ways in which we can get the training that we so desperately need and sharing our exploits with you all in this very blog.

If you live nearby and feel like your dog needs a walk then we are happy to provide a dog walking service free of charge. Or if you fancy joining us for the walk or want to find out more about the walk we are doing, visit the Cheshire Walk webpage

There are lots of other ways for you to get involved with Macmillan, find out about events and challenges near you

Good luck with it! Too far away from me, but will be interested to hear how you get on.

Can you get one of those exercise bikes to sit at your desks? :D

If you rigged it up to a dynamo, you could cycle to power the kettle.... that would be worth watching!

Good luck with the training, obviously it will involve a lot of tea and coffee drinking if you follow Little My's suggestion.

Thanks too for your support for my endeavours.

    Paddyman.

PS. Are you doing the 2 mile or the 10 mile walk? If it had been nearer I might have joined you. P

Do you have a sponsor page?

    Take care

I will keep you all updated. We are looking into the logistics of using sustainable energy sources (e.g. my legs) to power a kettle.

We will be doing the 10 mile walk but welcome for people to join us for either the 10 mile walk or 2 mile walk . We plan to do some more fundraising events over the year as they run all year round, this is just the beginning :) Paddyman you will need to a blog post for us after your walk, ideally with photos!

It most definitely does janbo. By the time of my next blog post we will have some photos (ideally videos) of our training and  have the sponsorship page setup.
