    After chemo (dad's body couldn't cope with it so only had 2 and a bit cycles) and radiotherapy (also not very successful) my dad has now been put on the Gefitinib drug trial (been on now for 4 months).  This has been successful in the way that it has stopped all tumour growth and spread (yippee!!).

    However, dad's quality of life is crap.  He survives on pancakes and sponge cake with a wee bit of tuna on toast…

    My dad has had a disaster of chemo which was stopped after one cycle and had now been referred for radiotherapy. (Op out of the question due to existing heart condition). What is radiotherapy like? The literature from the hospital like to portray it as being all rosy and few side effects but since dad had every side effect going with chemo (and then some!)
