Kezzerbird....Drew you are a diamond

Less than one minute read time.

I wake up a silly o'clock and fire up my lap top and see the latest blog from our Drew and find myself crying with laughter, with Summit my dog looking at me and almost saying 'Now talking to yourself is one thing mum. but this laughter and dripping from the eye balls is another'. I shall never be able to hear Good bye Mary Lou in the same vain again. I found myself putting my pennies worth in and now I have wake up little suzy on the brain. I was going to go back to bed but I may as well forget it now, I can't stop laughing and I am sure that can't be right. I just have to thank Drew for making my day. Thanks mate. Love and hugs to those who want them......Carol xxx

I am not dying of cancer, I am living with it

  • when I logged on yesterday everyone asked why I was laughing, how do you explain it to people who just won't understand our perverse sense of humour.

this site despite its problems can still be excellent because of the people.

off to buy some new tissues .... till the next cry

I too have been laughing my socks off at drew's song. And you are so right john, people out of the cancer world do not appreciate our ghoulish perverse sense of humour that I do think comes along with the disease.

Thanks for all of your kind comments.

The philosophy behind my ramblings is quite simple.

"There is a thin line that separates laughter and pain, comedy and tragedy, humor and hurt.

    Erma Bombeck"

Charlie Chaplin said "Laughter is the best medicine"

So if we can laugh our way out of the shit that we are in then that's the best way to do it. I know which side of that thin line I want to be.

My glass is neither half full or half empty. It's always bloody empty but I can soon get it filled again!

I hope Summit doesn't think that you were laughing at her - you'll give her a complex. Like I have got about my Dangermouse slippers and the fact that everyone is jealous of them, even after I found a missing stoma bag in them. Irene washed them a treat!

    Keep smiling

    love

Sometimes the only way to deal with all the shit that cancer throws at us is to laugh.

Thanks for your kind words and glad to be of service.
