First time blogging. I was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma about 18 months ago. I have recently started clinical trials. So far I have had only 1 session but have been keeping well. Is anyone else taking part and how are you getting on?

Hi I too was diagnosed with metastatic melanoma in May started drug trial in July I am now in cycle 6 side effects not too bad sore joints and thinning hair which is only to be expected but it is extending my life and that's the main thing. Going back and forth to the Beatson and have all the regular scans and skin and eye tests but so far all ok no other cancer popping up anywhere just hope it continues.

Hi a member of my family has applied to go on one of these trials we are unsure how long it will take to actually start treatment seems a long time to wait untill all the paperwork is completed. If you ever want to talk even though i am not going through what you are,a close member of my family is and it is heartbreaking. It is good that you are still able to work a little helps keep things a little normal.
Hey there jus wondering if you could give any info on drug trial? Is it immunotherapy? Desperately trying to find ppl that have had the drug so I can gauge side effects x
