Day +12: Almost out

Less than one minute read time.
Well the Doctors came in and told me that my neutrophil count is up above 1 now so the graft is taking well and they even said they would move me downstairs to the normal ward if there were any beds (which they aren't!). So hopefully in a couple of days I'll be out of isolation and allowed out for a few hours a day. I could definately use some fresh air. So I'm over the moon really, everythings looking great. I've got to keep an eye out for signs of the graft vs. host like rashes, I do have a rash on my stomach but the Doctor's don't seem worried about it, they just told me to keep an eye on it. I'm still feeling good, a little tired now and then but not too bad.

    Hi

Hope you are over the worst and get back to normal soon.   Glad you will be moved, things are a little less restricted on a normal word.  May I wish you all the best for your recovery.  In the meantime enjoy the fresh air!!! and look after yourself.

    Best wishes

Hi Will, fantastic news to hear that neutrophil count is up, for sure a good sign of progress. Yes you will need to watch out for G V H signs and symptoms and I would advise you to always report anything unusual. It can be treated, but of course it is easier to treat when caught early.

Moving into the wider world is a big step, but I am sure a welcome one, unless they are all snorers!! You have done so well, keep it up, hear from you soon.

    With love

    Debbie xx
