date for surgery, now having a cold

If it’s only a cold it should be well on its way out by then. If it gets to Weds and you’re not feeling well you could ring the hospital and see what they say. 

Hi Marmite, phlebotomy on WEDs, let's see how I am by then. Stupid me, should have left work a week ago, but didn't know how long until big day. Having a lemzip now 

Some zinc and Vit C wouldn’t go amiss either! And rest! Hope you feel better soon!

Best thing is to rest up as much as you can, drink plenty etc and let them know if you are not feeling better in a couple of days.

If you're still having symptoms now, do give the hospital a call.  If they feel you should postpone, they will, don't worry, they won't mind.  I had to have mine postponed because of food poisoning.

Hi i had a chest and sinus infection and finished treatment a few days before surgery; i let them know and they were able to check me out in the pre op and decide it was fine to go ahead. Good luck

I'm feeling much better today,  had lemzip and cough tablets. phlebotomy on Wednesday,  I will let them know what I took 

The nurse came back to me, she said yes you can take normal cold medication including paracetamol. If this goes to your chest they may have to postpone surgery but hopefully it will clear by Friday xx

So I'm confident now
