I have been diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma triple negative 10mm grade 2
Will they offer me chemo?
I have heard that ALL invasive triple neg patients have chemo - is the is true?
I am scared I won’t be offered it as it’s 10mm and I’m having surgery first! Basically I’m shitting myself and want every chance to survive - sorry but thanks if you can help
Mine was very small and found post surgery. Initial diagnosis was high grade DCIS over 5 cms so mastectomy plus radiotherapy was the treatment plan. Micro invasions were found in the post mastectomy biopsy, largest being 3.5mm. SNB showed no spread so treatment plan didn’t change. So the answer is no, it’s not always necessary to have chemo for triple negative. X
