Hi All,

It seems a while since these two topics have been discussed, so thought it might be useful to the more recent joiners:

- people diagnosed with cancer get free prescriptions, for a minimum of 5 years, but if the effects of the cancer are ongoing then it is renewed. All you need to do is to ask your GP surgery for an FP92A form. This covers all prescriptions whether the prescription is related to cancer or not.

- people diagnosed with cancer are covered by the Equality Act (previously Disability Discrimination Act) as if 'disabled', and work, public services etc. are required to make reasonable allowances. That applies after diagnosis, during treatment AND after treatment has completed
