Myxoid Liposarcoma

Posted by

Hi all recently diagnosed with a high grade sarcoma on my left thigh, due to start 5 weeks of radiotherapy July with the idea of shrinking the tumour away from the nerve with an operation to follow after the skin has healed. Anyone else been through or going through this ? Any help and advice greatly received.

Hi  and welcome to the online community

I don't have any experience with myxoid liposarcoma but I noticed that your post had gone unanswered. By replying it will bump it back to the top of the page where hopefully it'll be seen by someone with the right experience.

If you type 'myxoid liposarcoma' into the search facility in this group you will find a number of  previous posts mentioning this. You could then respond to any threads that you feel are relevant.

I have also found this information for you about radiotherapy for soft tissue sarcomas. You could also post any questions you have about radiotherapy in ask about radiotherapy and questions about the follow up operation in ask a nurse. Both radiographer Kate and the cancer specialist nurse will aim to reply within 2 working days.

When you have a minute it would be really useful if could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
