Hi, l have had my melanoma removed and a WLE carried out 4 weeks ago. I also had a sentinel lymph gland biopsy and am waiting to find out if l need further treatment or not. I have always sympathised with anyone who l’ve known or heard about who is in this situation but did not fully realise how the wait affects you till now. I’m not alone l know but l feel alone, l keep busy but seem to have a background headache all the time and cannot sleep , l don’t want to do anything even things l’ve loved. How do others here deal with this, all my life l’ve been a proactive tree shaker and this wait is something l cannot cope with even though l’m grateful for the brilliant care l’ve had?
my closest family ask one another how lm doing but don’t ask me and the conversations we have are different now or so it seems to me? Would love to hear from anyone who has gone through this.

I've had the same treatment as you for a stage 2a melanoma and I know how difficult it can be waiting for results. I found the best distraction techniques were doing things that I enjoyed but I see that isn't working for you.
