Reoccurence of the cancer after PMP treatment

My husband has appendiceal cancer and was treated by Dr Faheed Mohamed at Basingstoke Hospital Jan 2017. Three high grade tumours removed. He had 6 months of chemo. Scan in Jan 2018 clear, returned July 2018. Further chemo in Sept for 3 months. He has high grade appendiceal cancer that spreads outside of the abdomen. Is there anyone coping with something similar? It's so rare and very little known of this cancer.  I am his wife who is finding it tough!!
