I had my results back from a lump removed...it is 5mm thickness!! I’m scared!!
try not too panic to much(hard i know). have they said when you are going to have the WLE?
Waiting for an appointment should be in next 2 weeks ️
I remember the day I was told and it felt very surreal. Did they tell you what stage you are? Do you have a skin nurse that you can speak to?
Hi brave a cancer diagnosis is devastating I'm stage 2 melanoma and stage 3 womb cancer. You have a couple of weeks before your next appointment so all sorts of fears are crowding in its only natural. I see you've asked the nurse about staging but as you may not get a reply until monday melanoma uk website might be helpful. You may be confusing tumour depth with staging. 5 mm is probably classed as t3 which is stage 2 same as me. Stage 3 is when the cancer has spread into surrounding tissue or/and regional lymph nodes which they won't know until you have a WLE and node biopsy. If it's confined to skin stage 2 then surgery will be sufficient treatment with just checkups thereafter. I'll send you some links. Everyone in this forum knows exactly what you're going through and will be here to give you all the help and support we can.
