A week ago ago I was diagnosed with lung cancer I have been told I can have an operation as it is one lung and contained. Has anyone else had an operation and relatively speaking have I been lucky I'm to frightened to think positively in case it all comes to nothing
If you can have an op to remove it. Then you have a high chance of a cure.
Yes, if you have surgery this provides the best possible prospects for a cure. I had surgery in 2014 and continue to do well.
Any questions as you progress through treatment just ask.
I wish you all the best for successful treatment.
I have a feeling this is from my beautiful identical twin sister twins just know if it is I love you and all.your friends and family adore you and we will be with you all the way if it's not my twin I wish fierce the very best off health and love for the future xxxx
Hi fierce, sorry you find yourself here, but here's some positive news to keep you strong. My husband was diagnosed with nsclc in his top right lung 8 weeks ago, it was contained and pet scan showed no spread to lymph nodes. He had a thoracotomy and his top lobe removed 2.5 weeks ago and is doing great. A little breathless as he exercises but that will improve. His pain is minimal and he's doing really well. Keep positive and strong, you can do this...sending hugs
