I am in constant pain in mouth, swelling in right side of mouth where cancer is.
Taking morphine every 4 hours and 40mg tabs morning and night but still in constant pain.
Please wish me well for my scan at 830 am I will be taking a diazepam as chrostophobic.
Wishing you well for tomorrow. You will be fine, as you don't actually go into the scanner, how you do with a MIR, it is more like a large hoop. All the best.
Not good with MRI scans.apparently I can't take my morphine tonight or in the morning as contain sugar.
Sorry to hear you're in so much pain, fingers crossed for you that it's just the normal aftermath of Radiotherapy which seems to last a long time.
Good luck tomorrow with the scan tomorrow Mandy, I'll be thinking of you.
Is your scan this weekend xx
I have a PET/CT scan on Monday. Been waiting a while but happy its happening. Hopefully I'll then know if the surgery got all of it.
Mines first one is Monday, 6pm so fingers crossed for everyone having scans
I have everything crossed for you. I take 10mg of diazepam to get into the MRI scanner too xx

I don't know how widespread they are but in Exeter at least when you get an MRI they attach a periscope to your head so there is no sense of being closed in at all, as far as your brain is concerned you're looking direclty at the operators in the control room.
