Hi everyone, haven't been on here for a while . I had base of tongue cancer. Had teeth on lift side removed and 30 radiotherapy sessions, I'm 18 months down the line now. Saliva not good and food very bitter. I need sweet things. I find my lips get numb but living life to the full. It gave me the courage to go and travel on my own, which I would not have considered before. I'm nearly 81 and really fit and well. There is life after cancer and positivity really helps. Best wishes to all of you.
