Well, the head and neck cancer has gone, BUT its travelled to my husbands lungs. We are reeling and frightened. Apparently only ten percent of people get secondaries from head and neck cancer.. So now more treatment, an uncertain future and we still have to live with the long term effects from the throat cancer treatment. cant believe this is happening.
You poor thing. I can only imagine how awful your journey has been for you. What a insidious disease this really is. Let’s hope that’s the finish of it for you and that you continue to be well. Many thanks for taking time to reply to my post.
No problem, and thank you for your good wishes. I’m lucky in that I’m looked after so well by the Head and Neck MDT at my local hospital, and hope that everyone gets that same level of care. Good luck to your husband with the immunotherapy treatment, I hope it kicks the cancer into touch!
Have you had biopsy results Mark?

Mark, there are really good results with immunotherapy and there are a few trials out there adding cancer vaccines. I have a contact who has been on Nivolumab for five years so hang on in there

Hazel where are you able to find out all this info about trials and new drugs etc? I would like to read it myself. Thanks
Mostly by word of mouth through contacts made here and via the blog (Hazel too)

CRUK have a database search but it's pretty useless
There is a US clinical trials database that lists all the trials anywhere but it is difficult to navigate
https://www.clinicaltrials.gov/
Your oncologist should be aware of all the UK trials.
Sadly it isn't an easy search
