Hell
My mum finished radiotherapy in April this year for throat cancer she is still very poorly. Mucus is still terrible with a burning throat. It's almost eight weeks since she finished her treatment but she still can't eat or drink anything and has everything by tube in tummy. She is eighty. Did anyone else take so long to recover?
Thanks for the update. Fingers crossed they can get her up and running. Hugs

Thanks I'm very emotional at the moment so big hugs might help a bit.
Just come here any time. Plenty of people thinking of you. Are you in touch with your mum? More hugs xx

Hi flower girl
Sorry to hear about your mum. Sadly recovery time varies from patient to patient. I myself took 5 months before I could eat but the good news is recovery was very quick...I have now fully recovered and eating normally.
Hope you're mum does soon
Good luck
Chas
So sorry your mum is struggling with her swallow. Being in hospital she should get some investigations from various specialists to see what they can do to help.
Thinking of you. Take care.
