I’m so sorry. The news is a bolt from nowhere isn’t it.
Hopefully when you meet the oncologist he/she will give you a better idea of the plan they have for him.
the waiting is absolutely agonising, the anxiety in the pit of your stomach. My partner is also young at 45.
I’ll be thinking of you on Monday.

Hi Brent S, I had my CT scan 2 weeks ago (now 24/2/20) to date i have heard nothing, in your experience is this a normal time frame?  Thanks. Barry.

Barry, I hope you don't mind me jumping in but I would have thought you should have heard something by now. I think I had an appointment the following week. So I would suggest that you contact them and chase it up, it won't do any harm. Good luck and kind regards Frank.

I agree with Frank, I think you should chase it up.

one of my doctors once told me that I will be more closely involved with progress than anyone else, so if something doesn’t happen when you think it should then you should chase it up.

I wouldn’t think it’s anything to worry about, but you should at least have an idea of when things are going to happen.

Counting the days, making every day count.

Hi,

My husband has oesophageal cancer & seconday liver cancer. He got told he had cancer beginning of June after an endoscopy. He started treatment mid September. The waiting was weeks in between appointments, results & scans/test. It was a horrible 3 months. If you feel you don’t know what the next step is then chase it up, our specialist nurse has been brilliant, I call her all the time if I don’t understand something or don’t know what’s going on or feel we are waiting too long for something. Good luck on your journey. X
