I can’t believe 18 months ago I came on to this website desperately searching support, help , guidance, a miracle after what felt like my world had fallen apart on hearing my dad had oesophageal cancer needing chemo and surgery to be in with a chance to survive. Along the way I met the most amazing guy on this site who was diagnosed with the exact same diagnosis T3N1M0 and he became a constant support to me and my dad .. we would message and check up on each other as much as we cud. Dad has been through the most horrific journey lost over 7 stone in weight and couldn’t get out of bed for months .. but I’m the happiest daughter in the world as 12 months on my dad is still with me getting better everyday .. went for a 3 k walk last week and is beginning to eat little more everyday .. but it’s with great sadness that at Christmas , Robby our friend lost his battle ... he was the most inspirational , strong minded, kindest man I’ve had the privilege to know in such a short time. Every day we count our blessings that my wonderful dad is a survivor. This community is such a wonderful place to feel supported and I can’t thank Robby and lots of you for all your lovely messages of advice and support. Much love to you all. Caridad x
