Hi,

Did anyone else have upper back pain, my husband is in terrible pain with his back, he has his first oncology appointment on Monday I hope they can give him something for it.

Our doctor said it is the pressure of the tumour pressing on it.

  • Hi Dean,

Glad everything has gone well for you, its a tough journey for us all and all we can do is stay positive and fight.

    Take care

How is Tony coping ??  We had trouble getting the prescription this time hencec why Andy has been feeling so poorly we're hoping he picks up soon to enjoy some good days before his next chemo next Friday.

    Take care and stay positive.

  • Hi Vonn

Tony is down at the moment now I have to pick him back up and for him to stay positive, its the waiting that's getting to him and the back pain.

Hope Andy has a few good days before his next chemo.

Will let you know if we hear anything.

    Take care

  • Hi Vonn

Sorry to hear Andy is in pain and not feeling great. The chemo Is very tough and not pleasant afterwards you just have to try and get through it, not easy I know.

Hope he feels better before the next round

    Best wishes

  • Hi Angie

I really feel for you both. The waiting is very difficult because you just want to know what you are up against.

Hope you get some answers soon

  • Thank you Dean  the problem was the sickness pills weren't given to him Wednesday after the chemo treatment he'd been foing really well up until then and seems to be picking up this afternoon . They're trying yo make sure everything is in place for the next session and sickness tablets to take pre and post chemo treatment . It's definitely a roller coaster.

    Take care

  • Hi Angie

How is Tony doing and yourself of course? Andy is picking up now thank goodness , his macmillan nurse is suggesting that he waits another week for his last chemo pre op to build himself up. We've found that buscopan cramps have helped with the tummy pain so that's a relief xx he doesn't want to wait another week so is hoping the consultant will agree to keep going!!

We hope everyone's journey is going to plan.

  • Hi Vonn,

We are doing okay thanks, just waiting for the laparoscopy appointment to come through now, it's just all the waiting that gets to us, Tony just wants to get on with chemo.

Glad Andy is picking up now, I can understand he wants to keep going and get it over with, Tony would be like that.

Buscopan are brilliant I take them for IBS.

Good luck with the last chemo, I will let you know when we hear anything.

  • Hi Vonn

Not surprised he felt rough. The sickness tablets are important to have, they worked well for me.

You are right it is a rollercoaster indeed and you literally have to take it one day at a time.

Hope they get it all sorted before the next round and hope he feels better afterwards

    Best wishes
