Hi My Step Dad has his 3rd Chemo on Monday he’s on FLOT. We have just been to see the oncologist and he said he should have started to see some changes to the Tumour at the start off this week. He has the feeding tube down his throat though so he did say he might not be feeling it because off that but can anyone tell me when they started seeing changes? When they was able to eat proper food again? Did it just happen all off a sudden? Any advise would be great thanks
My dad had FLOT and from the second session onwards he was able to eat normally again. He didn't have a feeding tube, that could be disguising any benefits your step dad is hoping to feel. My dad was always able to eat food however things like rice and bread become a problem and he also had pain when it passed by the tumour before he started FLOT.
I hope your step dad feels the benefits soon.
Hi thank you so much for that. He was able to eat just struggled with bread but he then had another endoscopy just 2 weeks before chemo and from then he could only have soup then after his first chemo he kept being sick and we couldn’t get him to keep anything down so ended up on the feeding tube. The oncologist said that today as well that the tube could be disguising any room he might now have I’m hoping that’s the case
thank you and I hope your dads treatment is all going well to
