I think I'm like a few of us on the forum, waiting for news from Jules. Sending her love and hoping the post-op recovery goes well xxx
Yes waiting for news ! This must be day four sending her my love x
Tricia
Thank you lovely ladies, think I replied on my original post but basically out the other side. Epidural out, morphine off, in absolute agony, having a pca line so i can monitor and control own pain line, think my designer pee handbag will stay in another day, husband had a terrible night, had to watch couple of his favourite films, got the smelly tasty take away curry that he's been banned from and a lovely cold glass of wine. Absolute git x which I will remind him x
God love you all for keeping an eye out for me. As I've behaved so well got to sit on special chair with a hole in it, rather not do that again anytime, but just thinking of the stories I can tell down the pub in a restaurant some years soon
Just glad to be here to tell the tale. And drop the odd mooney totally innocently of course. it's like being in secondary school
Again thank you so much. Each one of you. Means the world, love and hugs are on their way xx, think it's sleepy time, was a late one last night 9pm, rebel I know right x
Smile on my face reading your post. You’re doing great. Julie
Thank you, so update. Tad bored !! issues with pain relief and use of epidural, 1st night sister arrived early hours on the ward, thank god, nurses on shift had never offered water on the end of the sponge stick, mouth was bone dry, that happened, they kept on with morphine and paracetamol which didn't do Jack, she asked notes showed I had an epidural, why hadn't they used it. Christ, when they did, I was a different person. When moved to the permanent small ward, nurses that were attentive compassionate were amazing, the ones that took out the epidural day early and at 7.30pm, again with no plan or back up left me in tears, no sleep and agony overnight,
The next morning doing their rounds doctors asked me why I didn't question that removal, as removal early not on my notes, set me back a day as good nurse Harry picked up fluid on my pillow, pain around entry of the chest drain, which had been leaking and backed up. Apologised to the other lovelies on the ward, as the screams when they pulled it out, not a noise that me or hubs ever want to here, he turned up just as they did it. nd could hear me at the ward entrance..
Left hand buggered as canala added bled everywhere so nurse that removed epidural, when taking 2nd cannula out, when she pulled the sticky dressing off, literally cannula 1 and 2 came with it, horrible pain impressive swelling. So million percent when on previous forums people said jump on that pain relief being increased do it asap, effects your whole day or night. As u can see up early for obs check. See what they say, think glam yellow liquid handbag out today so only oxygen tube in everything crossed to go home. But know everything has to be comfortable and on track.
Thank you so much for this separate forum, means a lot. With the caffata gone. Could put on those apple catchers I brought x. Can hear the trolley coming so will sign off for that x
What the hell happens when I am back home. Sure they will go through it. Have more leaflets for the food side. But Any heads up grateful. Imagine exercing. Showering and moaning a little , hope people can see although this is the ride we didn't want tickets for it's doable xx
Love to you all and hugs
Jules xx
