I am due to start O-cvp chemo soon and am interested to see how people who have been through this have managed with work. There doesn't seem to be many people posting about O-cvp. Was there a lot of nausea for example?
Many thanks.
Thank you for the info on the OCVP chemo. Regarding your diagnosis of stage 4 terminal did they actually say that? I also have stage 4 and understand it is incurable but nothing was said about it being terminal. Bit worried now!
Hi Bonzo99 these low grade NHLs are indeed incurable but treatable and in all the years I have been supporting folks on this Community and other support platforms the word ‘terminal’ has never been used directly with Low Grade NHL.
Although, some patients may have other health issues that would put them into that category..... if you have any concerns do talk this through with your medical team.
Hi Mike thank you for replying. I've been telling everyone that even though it is stage 4 that it doesn't mean terminal. Thought I'd missed something in translation I had FECT chemo a few months ago which is apparently a hard one so I'm hoping the OCVP is a bit easier. Going onwards and upwards one day at a time
It’s all about keeping your head down and fighting into the storm and you will get there.
When I was diagnosed back in 1999 with my CTCL I was actually told “Incurable, treatable but would never hear the word remission”....... zoom through my years of treatment and was remarkably told in Sep 2016 I was in remission for the first time in 17 years and as I always say - I am living the dream
