Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
Will this count as star? I don't have time to venture out and can only go 1km until tomorrow anyway but by coincidence I did try to plant my new cactus bed as a star. The Agarve in the centre was our anniversary present to ourselves as during the confinement....no visitors. Why am I so busy? Our son who has spent the winter in the mountains with a job contract but no work due to the resort closures decided he no longer needed the flat he shared with an ex girlfriend ( new girl is lovely but has a flat of her own in Paris) and has brought all his sundry items to me to look after but our loft room was full so to fit his things, it's making us clear junk( beds, books, mattresses, old unworn clothes) which has sat there 22 years! It's not a walk but it is hard exercise with lots of up and down stairs!
Lovely Lacomtekp just a couple from me and one from archive I've used before but it does have star
Couple plants well nettles
Lovely variety of stars! These are the best I could manage, sort of star shapes.....
Great weather here after a quick downpour, luckily we postponed our walk till after. Xxx
Good stars! I hadn’t realised how difficult it would be to find star shapes here’s mine.
Lacomtekplove your cactus bed.
May the force be with you
Stars are difficult! did my 15 minutes of yoga in the garden this morning and the wind was chilly (it’s not yet raining here) and tried to get some starry pics.....
you have to look at the centre of the flowers to see the stars.
Dexter wearing his stars
Lots of lovely stars, and Dexter is himself a superstar I think Northerner! My offerings for today plus some animals just because.....
Err! Weather god a bit mixed up after lockdown ....thinks it still November,Pennines tops iced with Snow
Wow May snow is definitely late!! No snow here but did get pelted with hail and sleet on our return journey today. Lovely walk to nearby village and back, picnic lunch in sunny churchyard, hailstorm heading back over fields but dried out in later sunshine! A day of contrasts. My photos are: wild garlic star; nesting box against blue sky; striped tree trunk - half wet, half dry. Xx
Lovely photos everyone.
Not walked for a few days but managed today.
