Well. Welcome to this thread.
You may be surprised why it is here or happy it is here. Then again: ‘You have got to be joking! Do you know what is wrong with me?’ may be your response.
This all began on the Extreme Fatigue thread. On there several people wanted and needed inspiration/incentive to get out and walk. Many people see the benefits of it in their life and to help on this; mad journey, train ride, rollercoaster ride and other positively rude words journey called Breast Cancer.
It is not a thread created to make anyone feel less than they do at present. It is not a thread that will set people against one another. Being competitive with yourself or a simple challenge to yourself is the point, but not a race against others is a key premis.
The idea is that you can do any of these or none:
Well here goes.
Either it will grow and blossom, with lots of lovely people benefiting. Or I will have egg all over my face – not for the first time in my chequered life and career.
Leolady – may be adding in the odd gallop to my walks.
PS if you don't like us don't be cruel.
A for Activity, our treadmill in operation in the music room which has a big sliding door opening to the garden, so while walking we can look out at whatever the weather throws at us! I’ve done 3/4 mile with that plus a walk to the chemist, hubs has managed .100 of a k, bearing in mind he’s virtually wheelchair bound apart from pottering a bit in the house with one stick, so that’s great! it folds up very nearly flat and can wheel to where we store it, and the position the tread is in, is slightly uphill so the walk is even better than just on the flat. Hugs xxx
Loving the double A,Santababy....hmmm,but I have one too!!awning and Antique shop!
also and I bumped into the gardener and asked him for an A and he told me this is an azalea xx
Wow that’s cool, well done!
We’ve both done a good bit more walking.....it gets me slightly puffed which walking on the flat outside doesn’t, so there has to be resistance. Gets the heart and breathing rates up a bit for us both which is good strengthening workout. Hugs xxx
Amazing A’s, All! Interesting re the tree Northerner, they’re such survivors! Well done moomy and hubs re the treadmill. Great weather here and had lovely long walk with a friend. My A’s are: A trio of Arches; Aconite; an Appaloosa horse (I wish, he’s really a skewbald cob); and A heron - couldn’t resist as he was so close! Love to All, HFxx
