Hi ladies
Just thought I’d catch up with everyone now we’re into a New Year to see how you’re all doing.
I know we’ve got ladies who have just started/are about to start on chemoradiotherapy and some who have upcoming surgery. Please feel free to use the group to post any worries or concerns, ask any questions, or just to let us know how you’re getting on. And for everyone who is through treatment or surgery I hope you are all doing well in your recovery. Positive stories are always a great help to ladies who are newly diagnosed.
I hope you are all managing to keep cosy in this cold weather-I can hear the wind blowing around my house this morning, so I’m staying put inside!

Hi DLT,
I am due to have brachytherapy in 5 weeks and I must admit that was one of the questions I asked my consultant! She reassured me that the nurses there have seen it all before and we are in the best hands! I send you all the positive wishes I can , you can do this!! Xxx
Hi DLT
I know I’m late to reply and you’ll already have had your first treatment (I hope it went well) but it might be useful to other people to know that I was worried about pooing during bracytherapy as well but they told me nobody had *ever* opened their bowels accidentally during the treatment! So I decided to trust that I wouldn’t be the first (and I wasn’t).
best wishes
Agatha
Hi Ladies
Well brachatherapy all done the worst part was the laying still over night with the rods in it was the longest night ever but all done now.
Not feeling to bad just tired and keep napping
It's been a week now and I still have some slight discharge (it doesn't smell) is this normal?.
Hope you are all doing well
DLT
Hi Sarah and everyone else. Hope the New Year has brought mainly good news to everyone. Had my surgery last week and feeling really good although easily tired. Unfortunately I have sone nerve damage in my thigh which is much more painful than anything else has been but hopefully as things settle down it will disappear as quickly as it came xx
Hi DLT
Thanks for the update and well done for getting through the last of your treatment! It’s natural to feel tired afterward everything’s over with but this should get better-in the meantime napping is good! Now to get on with recovering. Let us know how you’re getting on-it’s always for new members to see how it’s been for those who’ve gone through it.
Sarah xx
