Hi everyone

I’m a week into Letrozole and have started with headache. Is this one of the side effects anyone else has suffered?

Thanks in advance

  • Hi Woody14 welcome to the forum. Yes this can be a side effect of Letrozole which many of us have experienced. However, if it doesnt settle down or go away, then go back to the GP and tell them as they can change the Letrozole for you and it may be that changing to a different brand of the same drug helps with this.  Hope this settles down for you.

  • Thank you for the prompt reply. Every ache and pain freaks me out. Having Letrozole for 6 months before surgery and scared the cancer will spread in the meantime x

  • Hi woody14 perfectly normal to feel as you do but not nice nonetheless. Letrozole is often used to shrink tumours before surgery and has had some really good results. They can change the letrozole to something else similar if needed. Xxx

  • Thank you for the reassurance. It’s more the thought of it spreading before surgery that’s scaring me. 6 months is such a long time xxx

  • I have been on Letrazole for a month also and yes one of the side effects I get is headaches I take some liquid paracetamol that seems to help.

  • Hello Carron01, I have been on letrozole for nearly 4 months now. I have experienced headaches the whole time and very moody now and then. I take paracetamol if I feel a headache coming on mainly mornings.  The moody can come anytime when I am angry with everything.  I go and do some exercises or clean my house just to take my mind off everything xxx
