Hi
i will be starting chemo in November and even though I can work from home, I wondered what is everyone’s experience?
my concern is if low immunity and using public transport. Tiredness as well.

I think it depends on what chemotherapy drugs you are having and for how long. I could have worked for some of the time in rounds 1-4, by round 5 I’m exhausted and emotional. No way could I work currently, even from home. This is on full strength TCHP. Others feel different though. I’ve met a few people on the chemo ward who have continued to work on EC.
Hi, I had TCHP chemo during COVID, so luckily everyone was working at home. I continued to work all the way through my chemo, though I did have the ability to work very flexibly if I wasn't feeling good and my colleagues were super understanding and supportive.
Low immunity is a concern to take seriously and I was pretty careful though I didn't confine myself to the house for sure.
I think you have to see how you feel. If you can, it's good to be open with your line manager and colleagues and see what adjustments they can make to continue to support you. Best wishes
